Technologies of distance learning of a foreign language

Training today is based on security, speed, and the quality of how we transmit information. The most popular technologies are recognized as:

Skype and Zoom conferences for training and improving communication skills.

— Chats  in Telegram, Viber, WhatsApp is a good solution for training grammar and pronunciation (if students respond in the format of audio messages). Correspondence on a specific topic, short essays, and a conversation between group members will help you practice writing.

Facebook, Instagram, Zoom, or video messages or live broadcasts will help you evaluate your speaking skills and pronunciation.

— Listening can be done with the help of YouTube videos or interesting short films. The student  listens to the passage on their own and then answers questions in Skype, Zoom, or in written form.

Remote learning options include watching video lectures and audio recordings on CDs, reading and working with downloaded materials, registering in electronic libraries, and preparing independent projects on a given topic.

Teenagers are adapted to gadgets and online events, so you can try a wide variety of options with them. You can watch excerpts from TV series to listen to speech and write out modern phrases and expressions, listen to English songs and translate them, you can even read articles and posts by foreign bloggers and celebrities.

An interesting option for learning the language is translating your favorite Russian-language songs into English — on the one hand, this is a creative and interesting task, and on the other hand, the child learns to identify the tenses of the verbs and use the articles correctly.

The most important results of teaching teenagers can be considered sufficient vocabulary for communication and the ability to correctly use the basic tenses.

Fortunately, almost all popular books such as Real Life, English Grammar in Use, Speakout, Macmillan Publishers reading books can be found in electronic form and therefore classical education will not suffer.
